Acupuncture is a key component of traditional Chinese medicine, used to enhance overall wellness and treat a variety of conditions including chronic pain, orthopedic and sports injuries, digestive disorders, stress management and many others. Alternative medicine techniques may be infused into your treatment plan to help you restore balance to your body and recover from acute or chronic conditions.
We offer a variety of traditional Chinese modalities and alternative medicine techniques:
-
Acupuncture: An ancient form of Chinese medicine where fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at specific acupoints located on meridian pathways of the body, often near peripheral nerves to aid in balancing the body's systems, increasing circulation and promoting healing.
-
Cupping: Special cups are placed on your skin for a few minutes to create suction in order to lift the fascial layer up off the muscle to promote deeper healing. Cupping helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
-
Tuina: A form of massage to stimulate the flow of Qi and promote balance and harmony in the body.
