Pilates

The Pilates method, developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900’s, emphasizes the concepts of core strength and stabilization. He called the center of your body or your core “the powerhouse,” and if strengthened, offers a solid foundation for any movements in your daily life.

Pilates believed that physical and mental health were inter-related, and his practice was developed to train the mind and the body. Integrating these six principles – breathing, control, flow, precision, concentration, and centering (movement originating from the core) – this method will improve your posture, strength, and flexibility.
